My PDF shows no field, why?
Because it contains none: many forms circulate as a printed page that was then scanned. In that case the "Edit a PDF" tool lets you write on top, in the right places.
What is locking for?
It turns the values you typed into page content. Once locked, a reader can no longer empty or change the fields, and the result looks the same everywhere. That is what an administration expects from a document.
Is my file uploaded to your servers?
No, and you can check it. Everything runs in your browser. Open your browser network panel while you work: no request carries your document. We cannot read it, keep it, or pass it on.
What exactly does it cost?

What happens if I close the tab, or pay halfway through?
Your document and your work are kept in your browser local storage, on your device. Come back to the page and everything is still there, including after a round trip to the payment page. The button labeled "Erase my document" removes them whenever you decide.
Are there any limits?
Dynamic XFA forms, produced by Adobe LiveCycle, are not supported. If your file contains one, the page says so instead of filling it halfway. A scanned document with no interactive field has no form to fill: use the "Edit a PDF" tool to write on top. No field is pre filled from personal data: we hold none.
