Does this signature hold legally?
It holds as a reproduced handwritten signature, that is, a simple signature under the eIDAS regulation. It suits a quote, a lease, a statement or ordinary correspondence. A deed that requires an advanced or qualified signature needs a certified provider, which we are not.
Can I sign a password protected document?
Yes, if you know the password: you are asked for it when the file opens, it is used inside your browser, and it is never transmitted.
Is my file uploaded to your servers?
No, and you can check it. Everything runs in your browser. Open your browser network panel while you work: no request carries your document. We cannot read it, keep it, or pass it on.
What exactly does it cost?

What happens if I close the tab, or pay halfway through?
Your document and your work are kept in your browser local storage, on your device. Come back to the page and everything is still there, including after a round trip to the payment page. The button labeled "Erase my document" removes them whenever you decide.
Are there any limits?
This is not a qualified electronic signature: no certificate, no binding timestamp. It is a reproduced handwritten signature, what the eIDAS regulation calls a simple signature. Text already present in the PDF cannot be rewritten. The document is not sent to anyone for counter signature: it stays with you.
